Founder, Gallagher's ResourceBuilding with you, not just for you

Hi, I'm Joy

I started by answering the calls. Now I build what answers them.

Before you hand me your customers, I want you to know exactly where I learned to take care of them.

I've worked inside telecom, retail, healthcare, real estate, field service, payments, solar and voice AI, across the Philippines, the United States and Australia. So when you tell me how your business runs, chances are I've already lived that workflow.

Proactive, not reactive. Gallagher's Resource takes the initiative on the whole business, not just one tool. We spot the gaps in your software, your operations and your staffing, and fix them before your customers or your team ever feel them.

01 Β· The thread

I've heard it all: frustrated customers yelling, cussing, hanging up and calling right back. I learned to calm them down, fix the problem and keep them as customers. It also showed me where businesses really break, and it's rarely where the owner thinks.

That's the work I do now. I help startups, small businesses, founders and CEOs get organized. I map how the work actually flows, fix the process where it breaks, automate the repetitive parts, and build the systems that keep everything running, whatever the business needs.

Most people who build business systems have never been on the other end of that line. I have.

This is the part where I stop telling you and start showing you.

02 Β· Industries

Find your industry. I've probably worked in it.

What each company actually does, what I did there, and the day to day workflows I handled. If your business looks like theirs, this is the part that matters to you.

Telecom and contact centers

Where it started

For ISPs, phone and cable providers, utilities, and any business with a busy support line. I worked at Qualfon logoQualfon and VXI logoVXI, two global customer experience and BPO companies that run call center, sales, collections and back office work for brands in telecom, healthcare, retail, banking and energy.

Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, VerizonThe major US wireless carriers, each serving tens of millions of subscribers
Customer Service Representative and Technical Support

Took account, billing and technical calls for wireless customers all day. I explained bills line by line, changed plans, troubleshot phones step by step and saved customers who called ready to cancel, ideally on the first call.

I also became a training buddy for new hires, sitting beside them on live calls, and raised escalations to supervisors and technical teams when a problem needed more than the phone could fix. When the fix was done, I found the right upgrade or add on and made the sale.

Customer Service Representative and Technical Support

Helped seniors, families and low income households get free or discounted phone service. Many callers were elderly or had never filled out a government form, so I slowed down, explained every document they needed, and stayed on the line until the application went through.

For a lot of them, that phone was how they reached their doctor, their family or a new job. Patience and clear, simple language made the difference.

Supported TV, internet and home phone customers from outage to upgrade. I troubleshot signal, receivers, modems and connections over the phone, scheduled technician visits when a fix needed hands on site, and sorted out billing questions along the way.

Once the problem was solved and the customer was happy, I turned the call into the right bundle or upgrade, which is how I moved into sales and onto the top performer list.

    Regional Sales Trainer

Trained and led 200+ sales promoters across the region, the people who sell realme phones face to face in malls and stores. As a regional trainer I was among the first people to get hands on with every new phone before it reached the market, learned it inside out, then turned it into a launch playbook for the field.

I didn't just present slides. I stood on the sales floor and showed my promoters how to sell: how to open a conversation, demo the camera and battery in the customer's hands, handle "it's cheaper next door," and close. I earned realme's Switzerland Training Certification with a 100% final score, surpassing the 95% passing standard, which licensed me to lead regional training for the core team, team leaders and promoters. I also represented them as their Intercom specialist at Pioneer, Fin's customer service conference in New York.

I turned the team's most common questions into help center articles and Fin answers, built workflows that sent billing, technical and sales conversations to the right person, and reviewed what Fin resolved each week to keep improving it. This is where I learned to fix how a business actually runs. I jumped on calls with founders and CEOs of trades and service companies, mapped how work moved from the first phone call to the final invoice, then set up their workflow and systemized the process inside one platform, from quotes and scheduling to job cards, assets, safety forms and invoicing.

The hardest part was never the software. It was the crews in the field who didn't sign up to be tech people and pushed back on anything new. I trained them on site and on the phone until the app became part of the job, and jobs, photos and reports started coming in from the field on time.

    • Training Managertrained office staff and field crews, built the training playbook, and turned reluctant techs into daily users

Head of Onboarding and Customer Success

When I joined RCVR there was no onboarding manager and no onboarding process. I built it from scratch: the steps every new merchant goes through, the system that tracks them, and the chargeback logic behind it, so each merchant was set up correctly and protected fast.

I led onboarding and customer success, and managed and trained the virtual assistants on my team. That work grew into the onboarding department that still keeps the team moving fast today.

The capstone

Two ways into an airport, and only one of them is a sensible first bet.

The programme ends with a decision rather than an exam. Mine was this. The founders of a national restaurant chain want to get into airports. Do they build a staffed restaurant, or place a fleet of fresh food smart fridges? I had a packet of benchmarks with no answer in it, and two days.

I modelled both at the same airport, in the same concourse, so the comparison was like for like, and built everything up from drivers I could defend out loud. Passengers walking past the site, how many of them stop, average spend, rent as a share of sales, build cost, crew hours.

What I recommended: start with the fridges and earn the right to build the restaurant. The restaurant makes more money, and it is the better business once you know people stop. Until you know that, it is a leveraged bet, and at a low stop rate it earns almost nothing. The fridges stayed profitable in every case I ran, and the capital one restaurant needs would put fridges in about twelve airports while you find out.

What I actually brought home is not the certificate. It is the habit of naming the one number a decision turns on, writing down every assumption sitting underneath it, and showing what would have to be true for the answer to flip. It is the same thing I do before I tell you to spend money on software.

The why

What brings Joy joy

People ask what I do on my days off. Honestly? I help people.

I know exactly how it feels to be lost in your career, holding a degree that doesn't match where life took you, not sure what comes next. I've been there. So on my own time, I sit down with people who feel stuck and help them find their direction, for free. I'm not alone in it, either. I have friends across the industry, from proven virtual assistants in the Philippines to specialists in every field, and we listen, share what we know, and help people line up their skills with where they want to go.

That same belief is built into Gallagher's Resource. We create jobs, give second chances, and help people see there's so much more to them than a degree or a job title. A role that looks like "just data entry" is really so much more. A great virtual assistant gives a founder back hours with their family, keeps a small business running, and changes more than one life at a time.

The people who work with me often thank me for the opportunity and the second chance. Some join feeling like they've already learned it all, then discover how much further they can grow. Hearing that from my people, and seeing them happy, means more to me than I can say.

They don't feel micromanaged, and that's on purpose. When people are trusted and motivated, the work gets done and done well. When they feel watched and overwhelmed, it stops being about the salary. It becomes about whether they have a reason to stay at all.

That's the environment I'm building at Gallagher's Resource, and it's what I want to share with every founder and CEO I work with: take care of your people, and they'll take care of your business.

That's what makes the long days worth it.

Not the right time for you? Maybe it is for a friend.

If you know a business owner buried in missed calls, messy spreadsheets or too few hands, introduce us. I'll take great care of them, and I'll keep an eye out for ways to send business your way too. Good partners refer each other.
